Microneedling is also known as a skin needling or collagen induction therapy. It’s a procedure for facial rejuvenation that involves the use of a microneedling device to create controlled skin injury. New tissue layers of elastin and collagen then will be formed. It normally takes 6-8 weeks before visible signs of skin rejuvenation are seen.

This treatment can provide an amazing way to rejuvenate the skin by stimulating natural, healthy collagen production. When treatments are provided by one of our licensed and experienced medical aestheticians clients can see visible signs of aging like wrinkles as well as other imperfections like sun damage, scarring, and uneven skin texture diminish.
Microneedling can also be used for hair restoration by using the same collagen stimulating technology for hair follicles. Allure Aesthetic Center also offers Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy. This treatment is Microneedling with the added benefit of using your own plasma. The process begins by numbing the face with medical grade numbing cream. This sits on the skin for some time, ensuring all patients are as comfortable as possible. We then use our microneedling pen to penetrate the skin, creating microscopic punctures. By utilizing the body’s natural healing properties, PRP helps promote healing, cell turnover, as well as increases the stimulation of healthy collagen providing healthier, younger-looking skin. Because we use each client’s own platelet-rich plasma, no artificial or foreign elements are administered to the skin, minimizing risks and negative reactions or complications. - What does Microneedling do for your skin?
- The purpose of the treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin. It is used to treat and improve conditions like acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots and pigment issues.
- How long does it take to see results from Microneedling?
- Within several days to several weeks you will notice a smoother, brighter, and more radiant appearance, however, the full effects of the treatment do not appear until several months later. It is also important to note that in order to achieve the best-possible results, some patients may require multiple treatments scheduled four to six weeks apart.
- How many times do you need to do Microneedling?
- Microneedling can be safely repeated every 4 to 6 weeks until you achieve desired results. For collagen induction, we recommend starting with 3 treatments. For scar reduction, and average of 5 to 10 treatments are recommended depending on severity of scarring.
