Botox Atlanta

Allure Aesthetic Center’s licensed and experienced cosmetic injectors expertly inject small amounts of Botox® Cosmetic into areas of a patient’s face to help relax the muscles that cause wrinkling between the eyes, crows feet, and forehead. A short 30-minute Botox® appointment can successfully help treat patients of unwanted facial wrinkles for up to four months. This includes a complimentary consultation that ensures every one of our clients feel comfortable and educated before any procedure is done with sufficient time to ask any questions you may have. Our professional staff includes our Physician’s Assistant, Anthony Ferarra, who has performed injectables since 2010 along with our Nurse Practitioner, Lucy Brazier, who has performed cosmetic injectables since 2014.

Botox® Cosmetic is an injectable composed of a purified form of botulinum that works to cease the contraction of isolated facial muscles that produce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The discomfort associated with this cosmetic skin treatment is minimal, and may be combined with other cosmetic treatments such as microdermabrasion to enhance facial rejuvenation results.

Botox® has other medical advantages in addition to smoothing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Hyperhydrosis, TMJ pain, as well as migraine symptoms have all been treated with Botox® Cosmetic. With only a few localized injections, common symptoms of jaw pain, intense headaches, and profuse sweating can all be greatly reduced.

Botox Cosmetics is the most popular aesthetic treatment for reduction of wrinkles. It was broadly studied and approved in 78 countries. Botox Cosmetics (botulinum toxin type A) is a purified protein that is derived from the Clostridium botulinum bacteria. It is an injection that used to temporary relax facial muscles improving appearance of “crow’s feet” lines (lines around the eyes), “elevens” (frown lines between the eyebrows) and lines on the forehead.

Botox treatment procedure usually takes 10-15 minutes. After the procedure patient may experience minor pain or bruising and swelling at the injection area but it quickly resolves. Results are seen in 10-14 days and typically last 3 to 4 months.Botox can also be used to treat chronic migraines, hyperhidrosis (severe underarm sweating) and TMJ.

Botox® Alpharetta FAQ

What is Botox?

Botulinum toxin type A, more commonly known as Botox, is a commercial neurotoxin approved by the FDA that temporarily weakens muscles. This helps reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, prevents further wrinkling, as well as helps with migraine and TMJ pain.

How Long Does Botox Last?

Botox lasts anywhere from 3 to 4 months. As muscle action gradually returns, lines and wrinkles begin to reappear and need to be treated again. We normally recommend returning between 3 and 4 months to insure that the muscles do not get their original strength back. If the provider’s treatment plan is followed properly, wrinkles and fine lines that are treated will eventually disappear.

How Much Is Botox?

Botox can be measured by two different values; by surface area or by unit. You will mainly find Botox being measured by surface area when you go a plastic surgeon’s office or a dermatologist’s office. The problem with this is that you may be overpaying for your treatment. Here at Allure we do not think this is fair due to the fact that every person’s muscles are different. Where one person may need 5 units, another may need 20 units per area. The difference is that you are only paying for the actual amount of neurotoxin you receive. As surface area prices vary from place to place, as do unit prices. Here at Allure, our Botox is $10 per unit, Dysport is $4 per unit, and Xeomin is $9 per unit.

How Much Does Botox Cost?

How Does Botox Work?

Botulinum toxin type A works by paralyzing muscles through blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles so that the muscle can no longer contract. This results in wrinkles relaxing and softening. Botox starts working two days following injections, but full results aren’t visible until around two weeks after the treatment.
